Congregation Meeting

8:50AM light breakfast, 9AM vote on budget followed by community security training (see info below).

Please note that the meeting will include not only a vote on the 2023 budget but also the below proposed Constitutional amendment. A 2/3 majority is required to pass this amendment so please try to attend.

Amendment: Below, replace the term “three” with “five”.
ARTICLE V – The Board of Directors
SECTION 2 – The elected officers and three additional elected Members At Large shall constitute the Board of Directors.
SECTION 3 – Notwithstanding Section 2 of this Article, the outgoing President of the Synagogue shall, without election, be one of the three Members At Large for the first year after his or her Presidency.

The Board has proposed increasing the number of Members At Large for multiple reasons, including allowing a broader and more diverse group of voices on the Board and in order to provide more resources for the wide array of services, programming, and support the Board wishes to provide.

Secured Communities Network Countering Active Threat Training, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, 9:00 am after the Kehilat Pardes Congregation Meeting. SCN will teach introductory security training to KP to address how to prepare for active threat events, how to respond to them (Run-Hide-Fight), and some basic steps to take pending and upon arrival of emergency services (law enforcement, EMS). After the training the congregation will conduct an active threat response drill.
